STM Lottery Shares Ramadhan Blessings with the Less Fortunate

In commemoration of the Ramadan month of 2023, STM Lottery shared the festive cheer with 50 children from Pertubuhan Kebajikan Al-Firdausi and 50 B40 families in Puchong, Selangor.

The first event took place on 31 March 2023 when the company hosted a breaking-of-fast session with 50 children from Pertubuhan Kebajikan Al- Firdausi at Kelab Darul Ehsan (KDE). Besides the sumptuous food prepared by KDE chefs, the children were clearly excited when they were each handed a packet of “duit raya” and a mini hamper. The contribution was handed over by Mr. Giam Say Khoon, Deputy General Manager (Communications & Sustainability) of STM Lottery.

In his welcoming speech, Mr. Giam said as a corporate citizen that cares, STM Lottery would continue to contribute towards good causes and the breakfasting ceremony is in line with the company’s values of giving something back to the society.

Meanwhile, on Saturday, 8 April 2023, a Sports Toto CSR team led by Pn. Sherifah Hanom, Manager (C & S) distributed food baskets to 50 B40 families in Puchong, Selangor. The food baskets contained basic necessities such as rice, cooking oil, sugar, flour, milk, instant noodles and some canned food.

The recipients of the aid expressed their delight in receiving the assistance and said the food basket had eased their burden and helped them managed their expenses for Ramadan.

All these years, STM Lotery has made it a point to bring cheer to the less fortunate during the festive occasions as the company believes that, everyone, regardless of social status or background, deserves a heartwarming moment during festivities.
