STM Lottery Plants 80 Trees Once Again for Greener Enviroment
STM Lottery collaborated with the Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) for another successful tree planting campaign, an initiative by the company to support the government’s 100 Million Tree-planting Campaign contributing to environmental conservation.
Continuing the momentum from the last year’s successful tree planting activity at FRIM’s headquarters in Kepong, Kuala Lumpur, a group of STM Lottery volunteers led by Mr. Giam Say Khoon, Deputy General Manager (Communications & Sustainability), recently embarked on a journey to the Field Research Station (FRS) of FRIM in Selandar, Melaka on 13 May 2023 to fulfil its annual tree planting commitment.
Before the tree planting exercise, the volunteers were briefed by FRIM’s Head of Forest Plantation Programme Dr. Rosdi Koter who provided them with guidance on the proper techniques for planting saplings.
This tree planting initiative holds great significance for the volunteers as they gained a deeper understanding of the importance of environmental conservation and contributed to the preservation of Malaysia’s rich ecosystem.
