STM Lottery Kick-starts Food Bank Project with Kechara Soup Kitchen Society
STM Lottery had teamed up with Kechara Soup Kitchen Society (KSK) to feed 960 needy families for one year.
The collaboration with KSK started in July 2021 when STM Lottery pledged to contribute RM8,000 a month to provide dry provisions worth RM100 per family for one year. The dry provisions include rice, cooking oil, instant noodle, canned food, biscuit, sugar, face masks and soap.
Apart from the cash contribution, staff volunteers joined forces with KSK to distribute meals to the homeless in Kuala Lumpur on a monthly basis starting from 7:30pm to 10pm since March 2022. As of June 2022, a total of 30 employees volunteered to distribute food to the underprivileged group.
