Sports Toto High School Basketball Tournament 2023

STM Lottery continued to be the title sponsor of the Sports Toto High School Basketball Tournament 2023 with a cash contribution of RM15,000. Mr. Giam Say Khoon, Deputy General Manager (Communications & Sustainability) of STM Lottery handed over the contribution to the organizing chairman Mr. Tong Nam Heang at a ceremony held on 25 March 2023. The tournament, catering for
three age categories – Under-15 (Boys), Under-17 (Boys) and Under-17 (Girls), saw more than 36 teams taking part in the eight-week-long tournament.

The prize presentation ceremony was held after the finals played at the Court 9, USJ 14 on 21 May 2023. Mr. Tong said basketball is a popular sport among youngsters in Selangor particularly in Subang Jaya, Puchong and Petaling Jaya. The response for the championships was overwhelming and he believed that the objective to encourage youngsters in Klang Valley to engage in healthy activities could be achieved through basketball tournaments.
