Breaking of Fast with Anak-Anak Yatim Asnaf Qaseh and Raya Treats to the Underprivileged

As we rang in the fasting month and Raya festivity amidst the pandemic, Sports Toto’s corporate social responsibility team led by Pn. Sherifah Hanom, the company’s communications manager, brought festive cheer to about 100 children and 50 poor families through a series of events organised by the company.

The first event was held on 16 April 2021 when Sports Toto joined hands with Kelab Darul Ehsan by hosting a breaking-of-fast session with some underprivileged children from Anak-Anak Yatim Asnaf Qaseh at Kelab Darul Ehsan. Besides being treated to a sumptuous dinner, Duit Raya and goodies, the children were also entertained by popular local singers who really kept the children happy with their wonderful Raya songs.

The second event was held on 24 April 2021 when the company handed out Raya goodies comprised of daily food essentials such as rice, flour, sugar, cooking oil and other items to about 50 families under the B40 income group. The donation drive was organised by Sports Toto in collaboration with Kelab Kebajikan & Kebudayaan Wanita Subang as the distribution partner.

While the pandemic has been difficult for most Malaysians, Sports Toto has made it a point to bring cheer to the less fortunate during the festive occasions as the company believes that everyone, regardless of social status or background, deserves a heart-warming moment during festivities.
