Sports Toto Beach Cleaning Day 2026

As part of its ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability and corporate social responsibility (CSR), STM Lottery organised its Sports Toto Beach Cleaning Day, featuring a three-day conservation awareness programme at the Perhentian Islands, Terengganu, from 15 to 17 May 2026. In collaboration with Bubbles Turtle Conservation PLT, a marine conservation and protection NGO, the programme brought together 39 employees from across the company to learn about marine conservation and contribute to the protection of the island’s ecosystem.

The programme featured interactive sessions on marine ecology, turtle conservation, zero-waste practices and sustainability leadership, complemented by hands-on activities such as marine observation, turtle hatchery maintenance simulations and a beach clean-up exercise. Through these activities, participants gained a deeper understanding of marine conservation while experiencing first-hand the importance of protecting the natural environment.

During the beach clean-up, employees collected a total of 52 kg of marine litter, including plastic bottles, polystyrene foam, discarded fishing nets, footwear and cigarette butts. The initiative reflects STM Lottery’s continued efforts through its Helping Hands and sustainability programmes to promote environmental conservation and inspire employees to play an active role in building a cleaner and more sustainable future.
