Sports Toto “Reading My Companion” Reading Programme 2025

STM Lottery reaffirmed its commitment to education with the launch of the 2025 edition of Sports Toto “Reading My Companion” Reading Programme, benefiting 1,506 students from 11 micro-sized Chinese primary schools across Penang, Selangor, Negri Sembilan, Melaka and Johor.

Starting 25 August 2025, STM Lottery staff volunteers visited participating schools to personally distribute storybooks to students and donate additional books to school libraries. The programme also featured storytelling sessions to make reading fun and engaging, while encouraging schools to promote reading through book exchanges and journaling activities.

Mr. Giam Say Khoon, General Manager (Communications & Sustainability), shared that the initiative aims to inspire imagination and cultivate confident, curious young minds. To further motivate participation, two outstanding students from each school will be recognised with tokens of appreciation.

Since 2012, the programme has positively impacted over 20,300 students in 184 suburban schools nationwide, reflecting STM Lottery’s long-term dedication to education.
